Welcome to my blog! Wait.....is that still a thing? Better late to the party than not at all; am I right? It's been a long time coming, but moving forward I'm going to share what interests me and I hope there's a little something you'll find that sparks your imagination too.
This is where I hope to draw you into more of a firsthand account of my watercolor art. I've always wanted to start sharing more of my personal story, but it seems there's always been something else that is front of mind and needed to be done first. You know, like creating a website, growing my Instagram account, sharing on Facebook ......well, you get the picture.
My postings may not come fast and furious bit I invite you to join me on my journey of color and creativity. Let's be messy and play with pigment and drippy brushstrokes of water dancing on paper. I may tend to have shiny ball syndrome because I just want to paint ALL the things. It may seem chaotic, but I want to share my thought process with you. Maybe inspire you to pick up a paintbrush as well. I know it has brought me nothing but pure joy since I started, and I love sharing my work.
If you've taken a look at my website or my Instagram page you probably know that my heart is in painting botanicals and nature, birds and animals. But I also love the expressive qualities of a portrait. I'm never sure what is going to inspire me next, but that's half the fun!
I absolutely am in love with the watercolor medium, and am always trying to convey both the vibrant and subtle nuances that can be achieved. Honestly, the possibilities are endless. So I invite you to come on this journey with me. Let's get started and most importantly..... let's have FUN!
